The Clay county Library is here to serve you. We can provide you with a good novel, research materials, and knowledge of the world. Check out our videos and DVD’s free of charge. Borrow a book on tape to listen to on your way to work or while relaxing at home. Research the internet. We have six computers for the public to use, with internet access, word processing, encyclopedias, and internet access. Find your family tree. Our genealogical collection is widely used and has local history as well as family history.

Library Cards

Your first card is free. A replacement fee of $0.50 is charged for a lost card. There is no charge for a change of name or address.

Community Outreach

The last Friday of the month the Library and Friends host Teen Night.

We offer several programs throughout the year for the citizens of Clay County. A summer reading program is available for the children with story hour and crafts. We also have several special projects programs during the year, including puppet shows, magic shows, and ventriloquists. The library is also available for community groups to hold meetings.

Friends of the Clay County Tennessee Library

As Friends of the Library, we promote and support the library programs and staff through grants and advocacy. You can pick up membership forms at the library. The Friends meet on the last Friday of each month, 10:00 a.m. at the Methodist Activity Building. We encourage you to join us!

Genealogy Research
