Friends of the Library
April, 2012 News
March was a very busy month with our popular Chili Lunch and the completion of Cures What Ails Ye, Memories of Moonshining in Clay County, Tennessee, volume 1. We have been collecting and transcribing local moonshine stories for several months and that collection is now being published in book form. The book will be sold for $10.00 at Moonshine Daze and will also be available for purchase at Nanny’s Trunk and the Clay County Library after publication which should be around April 16th.
Teen Night at the Library will be hosting a Vampire Prom on Friday, April 13th. Put on your best undead clothes and join us. Call the library at 243-3442 for more information.
The Friends of the Library textbook scholarships are coming in and we will be selecting the winners at our next meeting on Friday, April 27th.
FOL has just become the newest member of the Clay County Three-Star Committee. This move will benefit both the Friends, the library, and the community.
If you are interested in becoming a member of the Friends of the Clay County Library, please join us in the Celina Methodist Church Activity Center at 10:00 on Friday, April 27th.
